Welding Technology Course

Duration: 6 Months

To develop foundational welding skills and knowledge, enabling learners to safely perform basic welding operations, understand welding processes, materials, and apply standard welding techniques in industrial environments.

Module 1: Introduction to Welding Technology

• Definition and importance of welding in industry
• History and evolution of welding processes
• Classification of welding:
o Fusion welding
o Solid-state welding
• Overview of welding processes:
o Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW)
o Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW/MIG)
o Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW/TIG)
• Applications of welding in construction, manufacturing, oil & gas
