Adobe Flash Animation Course

Duration: 6 Months

• To introduce learners to the principles of 2D vector animation
• To develop skills in character design and asset creation within the Adobe ecosystem
• To equip learners with ActionScript 3.0 and JavaScript coding for interactivity
• To provide an understanding of the timeline, symbols, and tweening systems
• To prepare learners for roles in web design, 2D game development, and digital
advertising

Upon completion, learners will be able to:

  2. Animate characters using classic, motion, and shape tweens.
  3. Develop interactive content using ActionScript 3.0 or HTML5 Canvas.
  4. Integrate sound and video into 2D animation projects.
  5. Export and publish content for multiple platforms (Web, Android, iOS, Desktop).
Module 1: Drawing and Asset Creation

• Vector vs. Raster graphics
• Using the Pen tool, Brush tool, and Paint bucket
• Object drawing vs. Merge drawing modes
• Importing assets from Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop

Module 2: Timeline and Animation Techniques

• Layers, frames, and keyframes
• Graphic, Movie Clip, and Button symbols
• Motion Tweens, Classic Tweens, and Shape Tweens
• Using the Motion Editor and Easing

Module 3: Character Animation and Bone Tool

• Nesting animations within symbols
• Lip-syncing techniques and the Frame Picker
• Inverse Kinematics (IK) using the Bone Tool
• Creating reusable character rigs

Module 4: Interactivity and Scripting

• Introduction to the Actions Panel
• ActionScript 3.0 basics: Variables, functions, and event listeners
• Navigating the timeline with code (play, stop, goto)
• HTML5 Canvas and JavaScript integration for the modern web

Module 5: Advanced Effects and Publishing

• Using filters (blur, glow, drop shadow) and masks
• Working with camera tools for depth and movement
• Optimization techniques for web performance
• Publishing formats: SWF, AIR, HTML5, and Video
