AURAK Overview

The American University of Ras Al Khaimah (AURAK) began in 2005 when George Mason University (GMU) from the U.S. established a campus in Ras Al Khaimah, known as GMU-RAK. In 2009, AURAK was officially founded, building on GMU-RAK’s inheritance to meet the growing educational needs of Ras Al Khaimah. Over the years, AURAK has expanded under various leaders, establishing new schools and earning prestigious accreditations. The university focuses on excellence in education and is poised for significant growth in student enrollment and global recognition such as MOE, KHDA, Qualifi, and more.

Academic Programs & Courses offered

Our collaboration allows students to enroll in programs within the School of the School of Engineering, and the School of Business at AURAK. These programs provide a strong theoretical foundation while emphasizing practical skills and real-world applications. One can study Level 4 & 5 from ASTI Academy which is equivalent to 2 years of bachelor’s and enroll for top-up Bachelor’s Degree in AURAK. Students can choose from degrees in fields such as Computer Science, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Business Administration, and many more, each tailored to meet the demands of the ever-evolving job market.
